Pre-Instructions for Facials & Skin Treatments

To prepare for your appointment, please avoid the following:

  1. Excessive Sun Exposure & Tanning

    • Avoid direct sun, tanning beds, or self-tanners for at least 5–7 days before treatment. Sunburned or irritated skin cannot be treated.

  2. Exfoliation & Harsh Products

    • Discontinue use of retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin, Differin, Tazorac, etc.), glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or other strong exfoliants at least 3–5 days prior.

  3. Waxing, Threading, or Depilatory Creams

    • Avoid hair removal treatments on the face or treatment area at least 48 hours before your facial.

  4. Injectables or Fillers

    • Wait a minimum of 2 weeks after Botox, Dysport, or dermal fillers before receiving a facial treatment.

  5. Shaving

    • Do not shave the day of your appointment (especially before peels or exfoliating facials). If needed, shave at least 24 hours prior.

  6. Facial & Dental Surgeries

    • Avoid scheduling a facial within 4–6 weeks after any facial, cosmetic, or dental surgery (including wisdom teeth removal, implants, or other oral procedures). Skin and tissues need adequate time to heal before treatment.

  7. Excessive Exercise or Sweating

    • Avoid intense workouts, saunas, and steam rooms on the day of your treatment, as this can increase skin sensitivity.

  8. Alcohol & Caffeine

    • Limit alcohol and excessive caffeine 24 hours before your appointment, as they can dehydrate the skin and increase sensitivity.

  9. Facial Piercings/Eyebrow Microblading or permanent makeup

    • Please remove facial piercings before your appointment, as they may interfere with treatment areas and risk of accidental tugging or bumping during your service. New facial piercing must be fully healed prior to receiving service.

    • f you have recently had permanent makeup or microblading, please allow at least 4 weeks of healing time before scheduling a facial. These treatments involve delicate skin healing, and receiving a facial too soon may disrupt pigment retention, slow healing, or increase the risk of irritation or infection. Always ensure the treated area is fully healed before any skincare service.

  10. Skin Irritations

  • If you have active cold sores, open wounds, severe acne flare-ups, or infections in the treatment area, please reschedule until your skin has healed.

  1. Makeup

  • Arrive with clean skin if possible. If wearing makeup, it will be removed during your treatment.

  • Please remove contact lenses before your appointment, as facials often require your eyes to remain closed for an extended period, which may cause discomfort or irritation.
